Strep throat treatment without antibiotics?
Strep throat is a contagious infection caused by the streptococcal bacteria. It affects mainly children but even adults can get this agitating illness. Not every sore throat turns out to be streptococcal infection. Some of the accompanying symptoms include pain during swallowing, swollen tonsils, swollen lymph glands, headache, fever, nausea. If left untreated it can cause serious conditions such as scarlet fever.
Most often the streptococcal bacteria is treated with antibiotics. While these antibiotics destroy the streptococcal bacteria they also destroy our healthy bacteria. In addition, antibiotics slowly weaken the immune system. A weakened immune system will pose some risks of catching other bacteria or viruses. This is one of the reasons why people seek alternative strep throat remedies.
Pure Aloe Vera Juice has been well documented as a natural and silent healer and has shown to be even very effective in fighting microorganisms. It is therefore an ideal antibacterial, antiviral, antiseptic, antifungal and even antibiotic natural remedy. Unlike antibiotics, pure aloe vera juice doesn't destroy the good bacteria. Furthermore, it cleanses the body of all impurities increasing the immune system's power to fight foreign invadors. Several research studies conducted with aids patients has shown a significant increase in the defense system's ability to destroy foreign invadors. You can read up on it here.
For Aloe Vera Juice to be an effective remedy against bacteria, viruses, fungi, etc, it was determined that the aloe vera juice would have to contain 90% of pure aloe vera gel. In addition, preserving all active ingredients during harvesting is of uppermost importance. Purchasing an aloe vera juice from a trusted source would allow for a quality product that would live up to the many claims made from the ancient past til now.
Aloe Vera juice is a cleanser. As it removes toxins from the body, the many nutrients and active compounds can be absorbed into the bloodstream and do their job of balancing our internal health. This includes strengthening our immune system so foreign invadors don’t have a chance to take over our body. There are of course many immune enhancers out there, but I don’t know of a single one who will balance your entire health and get rid of microorganisms.
The aloe vera juice that I drink daily for optimum health is 90% pure. The recommended dosage is 8 ounces per day. I do give me teen-age children 6 ounces of aloe vera juice twice daily when they are really sick. They are usually well within days while others rush to the doctor obtaining medicine.
The best medicine to fight strep throat is to practice preventive medicine. A Body detox that includes a ph-balanced diet and your daily dosage of aloe vera juice will significantly strengthen your immune system.
I don't know how many natural remedies there are for strep throat. I am also not going to write about different strep throat remedies but refer to the connection between strep throat and pure aloe vera juice.
Aloe Vera Juice isn't officially considered an authorized strep throat treatment. Because there are some claims that aloe vera juice fights the bacteria that causes strep throat, I decided to put it to the test with either one of my family members, close friends or myself.
I have had many many strep throat infections as a child. They hurt, and then you always have to take the nasty antiobiotics to fight the infection. As you take more and more of the medicine you immune system actually gets weaker which requires stronger medication. So if there really is an alternative strep throat treatment instead of taking antibiotics, then I am all for it.
So unfortunately, or fortunately, I ended up with it. This gave me the opportunity to put this to the test myself.
Upon waking up with terrible sore throat pain and after being confirmed having this agitating ailment, I drank a little over half a liter of pure aloe vera juice that same day. The next day the sore throat pain was reduced significantly. The temperature was gone. There was still a bit of nausea.
The second day I continued with another half of liter of aloe vera juice. I stayed away from coffee, black tea, milk, sugared drinks and soda water. I drank plenty of water and herbal teas. I committed myself to a strict alkaline diet to help my body heal faster.
The third, fourth and fifth day I drank around 12 ounces of pure aloe vera juice. After that I continued with 8 ounces daily.
This was really a positive experience and once again a reason why I believe in Aloe Vera as a truly effective strep throat treatment. You have to be committed though in drinking lots of the juice and avoiding certain foods to create an alkalinic environment within your digestive tract.
Important: Don't rely on aloe vera juice alone. If you symptoms are severe you could also have mononucleosis, a very contageous disease which can cause severe throat pain and fever resembling strep throat.
In an in vitro experiment, Dr. Setterstrom had introduced pure aloe vera juice to a Strep culture she had allowed to grow in test tubes. Only a few hours later the plaque which formed along the test tubes had fallen to the bottom of the test tube.
An alkaline-rich diet that limits acid intake will weaken the bacteria or viruses. Alkalines are most vegetables and fruits, potatoes, almonds, cream, butter. There are plenty of websites that will provide alkaline and acid food lists. In addition, sufficient amount of oxygen will further be a good enemy for bacteria. This could be achieved through yoga or deep breathing exercises or even oxygen therapy, breathing in while expanding the belly and exhaling letting the air out of the belly again, always breathing through the nose.
Don't live with soar throat and other accompanying symptoms for too long. If this remedy doesn't work for you for some reason, consult your naturopath or medical doctor immediately. An untreated strep throat could lead to rheumatic fever. Or you may have another condition that needs to be analyzed.
